About Us

Frenchie is a new kind of French dining experience that strips away the formality and brings back the fun. Born from a clear gap in the market, the concept reimagines French cuisine as something social, energetic, and accessible, without compromising on flavour or quality.

Inspired by the buzz of Saint-Germain in Paris and the rhythm of Melbourne’s laneways, Frenchie blends Parisian chic with a distinctly local energy. The space is designed to feel immersive and social — a mix of intimate booths, shared tables, and a statement bar where champagne flows and cocktails are always within reach. Expect low lighting, a high-energy soundtrack, and a room that shifts seamlessly from dinner to late-night.

After years of shaping some of New Zealand’s most successful hospitality venues, founders Julian Diprose and Lucas Boucly took the richness of French dining and made it feel modern, effortless, and made for the way people actually go out today.
